The Mission of Love Therapy Zero
LOVE THERAPY ZERO is a non-profit organization founded in Geneva, Switzerland. For many years, it has been present within the paediatric ward of the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG).
The organization was born with the mission of offering moments of joy, comfort and lightness to hospitalised children, through a variety of creative and recreational activities: arts and crafts workshops, DIY activities and other dedicated programmes. These interventions also help to support and ease the emotional burden carried by parents and healthcare staff.
This is the mission of the ANGELS KIDS team.
Love Therapy Zero builds its identity around the concept of « Zero », which represents above all the universal symbol of embrace, union and welcome. The team of volunteers shares the same calling: to help others with generosity, altruism and kindness. The concept of “zero kilometres” also reflects their local, hands-on commitment.
But beyond this dimension, the philosophy of LOVE THERAPY ZERO, imagined by its founders, rests on a deeper vision, built entirely around the human and solidarity-driven values embodied by “ZERO”.
Since August 2020, the organization has launched a new initiative: ANGELS FLOWERS.
Giving a flower is a symbol of gratitude, affection, love and friendship. It is a delicate gesture that conveys EMOTIONS without the need for words.
Another fundamental pillar of the association is the ANGELS DESIGNERS.
This team’s mission is to make the most challenging hospital wards, both to live in and to visit, more welcoming and harmonious. Volunteers imagine and create beautiful themed decorations, particularly for the Christmas, spring and summer seasons.
Special attention is paid to the decoration of hospital ceilings and corridors, since many patients spend much of their time bedridden. The aim is to reduce anxiety, stimulate the imagination and offer a source of distraction and visual escape.
Every year at Christmas, Love Therapy Zero volunteers decorate numerous trees across several HUG buildings, creating a warm, positive and reassuring atmosphere. These decorations are designed to bring joy to everyone present in the hospital : patients, families, visitors and healthcare staff alike.
In 2026, a new project created by Love Therapy Zero was launched. Through support and companionship for people who are suffering, it harnesses the benefits of pet therapy, giving life to the ANGELS DOGS team.
Our Story
Love Therapy Zero began its journey in 2015 with a small group of individuals dedicating their free time to children hospitalized in Geneva.
Over the years, the volunteering efforts of Love Therapy Zero have flourished, expanding both in quantity and quality. Initially focused on the Angels Kids team, which aims to create a playful and welcoming environment at the University Pediatric Hospital of Geneva, the organization later introduced the Angels Flowers team. Angels Flowers was conceived with the idea of bringing colour to otherwise grey and cold places like hospitals and nursing homes, offering comfort to those experiencing sadness and suffering through the simple gesture of a bouquet.
As Love Therapy Zero continued to evolve, another group emerged from within the organization: the Angels Designers. With a focus on enhancing the hospital environment, particularly during the Christmas season and the spring/summer period, the Angels Designers aim to spread joy and serenity through their creative designs.
What We Do
LOVE THERAPY ZERO dedicates its efforts every day to providing support to all individuals facing moments of suffering, whether they are hospitalized or dealing with challenges related to their health. The ANGELS KIDS, ANGELS FLOWERS, ANGELS DESIGNERS, and ANGELS DOGS teams are dedicated to this mission with devotion and passion.
LOVE THERAPY ZERO brings together these different teams with a singular purpose, passionately committed to spreading comfort, serenity, and joy among those experiencing difficult times. In doing so, it contributes to creating an environment of empathetic support and generates a positive impact in their lives.
